The International Incoming Students are not provided with the Polish Student ID at the Jesuit University Ignatianum.
Therefore, it is highly recommended to incoming student possess an ISIC CARD (International Student Identity Card) for full-time students . It entitles its holder to:
- concession fares on public transport in Krakow (if owner is under 26 years of age) – 51% discount,
- reduce ticket to many Polish museum
IMPORTANT:
- the ISIC Card should be bought before student arrival to Poland,
- in order to have discounts in most places you will need the plastic ISIC card, not only a virtual one,
- there is a possibility to purchase the ISIC card in Krakow. In order to do this, you will need:
your valid student card from your home university and a passport size photo.
You may get a card in the following places: Almatur (Rynek Główny 27 str.), Biuro Podróży Albatros (Szpitalna 20-22 str.) and Rainbow Tours (Karmelicka 52 str.)
Moreover, it is popular among Erasmus students to issue an ESN card. Ignatianum does not have its own ESN organisation. In order to issue an ESN card, student should turn to ESNs of other universities (e.g. UJ, UEK, AGH, UP). The cost is arond 40 PLN. You may join the free/ open events organized by ESN groups of other universities in Krakow with this card. Moreover, you have some special promotions offered by Ryanair airlines.
